K Paz de la Sierra was a Mexican band that was formed in Sinaloa in 2002. The band's name translates to "peace of the Sierra" which was inspired by lead singer Sergio Gomez's desire to bring peace to his troubled hometown. The band's style of music was primarily ranchera and banda.

Unfortunately, the band's success was short-lived as in 2007, Sergio Gomez was gunned down in a nightclub in Jalisco, Mexico. The death was believed to be a result of his involvement in the drug trade. Gomez's death was a huge loss for the band and the music industry as a whole. The band continued to perform without him but eventually disbanded in 2012.
